Sarah Kendzior is … well, you know who Sarah Kendzior is by now, don't you? She is a St. Louis-based journalist and expert on authoritarian states.

One programming note before we begin: At 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, The New York Times announced the latest addition to their Editorial Board, Quinn Norton. Sarah and I started recording this episode at about 8 p.m. At 10:18 p.m., the following was posted to The New York Times Communications Twitter page where Quinn's hiring had been first announced just hours before: “The following is attributable to James Bennet, editorial page editor, The New York Times: 'Despite our review of Quinn Norton’s work and our conversations with her previous employers, this was new information to us. Based on it, we’ve decided to go our separate ways.'”

Brandon Chapman is a sports podcaster who hosts a baseball coaches' show, “Swing Away” and “Sounding Off,” the latter of which I have been a guest on, and co-hosts “Chap and Teach Take Me Back '90s,” which I have also been a guest on, with co-host John Robertson, who also appeared on Episode 183. He resides in Peru, Indiana with his wife, Abby. He graduated from IUK in May of 2018 with a B.S. in Communication with a concentration in Public Speaking. He was recently named the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) 2021 “E” District “Media Person of the Year.”
