Richard Kreitner is a contributing writer to The Nation magazine and the author of Booked: A Traveler’s Guide To Literary Locations Around the World. His new book, "Break It Up: Secession, Division, and the Secret History of America" was published in August. A graduate of McGill University, he has also written for Slate, Salon, The Baffler, Raritan, The Forward, and the Boston Globe. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
